Polyamide (PA), commonly referred to as Nylon, is a family of engineering plastics widely used where high mechanical strength, abrasion resistance and good wear performance are required.
Compared with many general-purpose plastics, Nylon offers excellent load-bearing capability and machinability, making it suitable for precision machined components.
However, Nylon absorbs moisture from the surrounding environment. This should be considered where dimensional stability is critical.
